My Week In Horror - Episode 10
In this episode I am going to take a look at 4 different Found Footage movies - and I hate this style of movie... but I enjoyed these titles!
Such a divisive style of horror films. Forced camera angles, unnecessary shots and a shaky vision. Just when they’re done right, as with these four examples, they can be quite fun. Enjoy my choice for this episode:
Keramat 2 [Sacred 2] (Indonesia, 2022)
Incantation (Taiwan, 2022)
POV: A Curse Film (Japan, 2012)
The Possessed / The Exorcism (China, 2016)
About the films:
Keramat 2: This is an unrelated sequel to the first movie. Directed by Monty Tiwa (writer of the banned film Pocong) this movie follows 6 teens - three boys and three girls - who travel to a village to film a documentary about a lost cultural dance. But the dancer’s spirit is unleashed and possesses one of the girls, resulting in the group needing to enter the realm of the dead to rescue her.
Incantation: A surprise hit thanks to Netflix, this movie follows a woman who is desperate to lift a curse on her daughter by asking the viewer - that’s us - for help.
POV A Cursed Film: From Norio “The Ring 0” Tsurata, this POV film follows two idols who travel back to their high school to investigate rumours of a ghost who haunts the school grounds as content for their online show.

The Possessed: One of the best horror movies you will ever see from China, this movie is about two filmmakers who follow an exorcist who travels to a remote home to help a woman possessed by an evil spirit. But the truth of the exorcist’s scams are revealed as she realizes she it out of her depth.
