I’m starting to slowly understand what Chinese horror filmmakers are doing now. Instead of all those crazy modern tales that end up as a dream (Bunshinsaba Vs Sadako) or a rubber mask (Haunted Dormitory Marionette Teacher), they are going back to the pre-CCP roots of the ‘Republic of China’ (ie Taiwan) to create ghost stories.
I don’t know if this is clever or sad.

SYNOPSIS: The daughter of a paper shop owner is brutally murdered by three rich siblings. After two of them are violently killed, a paper man resembling the dead girl is found at the scene. As the police investigate, the discover the girl’s mother may have an accomplice helping her to get revenge.
