Japan strikes fear into the heart of all online dating app users with this horror thriller about a serial killer using a dating app!
I’m glad I avoided the whole “online dating app” phase, because movies like this freak me out! Don’t people meet in bars anymore?
This one comes from Kadokawa in Japan, and it’s only a 30 second teaser, so not much to go by just as yet.
SYNOPSIS: This film revolves around the perils of a dating app. A single woman is recommended an app, however the person she matches with is different to his photo. At the same time, a serial killer is stalking his latest victims also using the same app.
DIRECTOR: Eiji Uchida (The Naked Director)
STARRING: Tao Tsuchiya (Rurouni Kenshin, Alice In Borderland), Daisuke Sakuma (Eiga Osomatsusan), Nobuaki Kaneko (Alice In Borderland)
This one is set for release sometime in February 2024. My guess is the 14th, because why not? What a perfect Valentine’s Day date movie.
